Filipp Polonskiy, Deployment Manager, discusses his experience at Clausematch

Filipp Polonskiy is a Deployment Manager at Clausematch. We recently sat down with Filipp to learn more about his role at Clausematch.

What is your role at Clausematch and what does it entail?

I am a Deployment Manager at Clausematch. I am responsible for planning and executing the delivery of new releases to our clients, managing technical requests coming from both internal and external stakeholders, and creating new processes from scratch along with maintaining the existing ones and supporting those with proper documentation.

What were you doing before joining the Clausematch team?

Prior to Clausematch, I held internships at two organizations in the InsurTech space. During this time, I obtained a Master’s degree in Construction Management from City, University of London to help me gain skills to become a Project Manager.

What project/s are you most proud of?

  1. Production Request in Jira - This was an internal project for managing the requests coming from our colleagues to get any services from our team
  2. Delivery Plan Project in Jira - This was an internal project for planning, managing, and executing our deployment strategy

What has been one of your most memorable moments at Clausematch?

This past June, our London team held an in-person offsite event. We spent two nights in tents with no electricity making barbecues and playing games. I joined Clausematch three days before the lockdown started in 2020, so I did not have an opportunity to spend time with the team, together in one place. This is why I really enjoyed the offsite! It was atmospheric - Everyone was sitting at the same table next to a bonfire and under one small roof barely separating us from the heavy rain outside.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I am a car enthusiast, and I am a big fan of Drifting. Drifting is a driving technique where the driver intentionally oversteers, with loss of traction, while maintaining control and driving the car through the entirety of a corner.
